FOR FANTASY MANAGERS WHO SPRINTED TO PICK UP A CAROLINA PANTHERS RB – CONGRATS, WE’RE ALL SCREWED!
Foreman traded Christian McCaffrey to the Carolina Panthers for a sack of potatoes.
Not a terrible idea, either - especially given how bad the running backs have been this year. Let's be honest, Saquan Barkley has been the only true RB1 for six weeks, and there's been a lot of damage (hello, Jonathan Taylor!).
So yes, grabbing Hubbard or Foreman can give your squad a bit of a boost … assuming you pick the right players.
Well, good news for everyone! Interim head coach Steve Wilks has just put the fantasy football kiss of death on your squad and announced that the team will go with the dreaded 'committee' approach.
D'Anta Foreman or Chuba Hubbard in fantasy football?
Awesome. Just what every fantasy manager loves - no real workhorses and a shot in the dark when you hit 'Save Lineup' every Sunday at 12:59.
I caught up with the foreman on the issue of transparency. To be fair, I'm also 4-2 and don't really need him (thanks, Ken Walker!), but he seems like a poor man's Derrick Henry and I can live with that.
In all honesty, I almost went with Foreman because that's what Twitter said to do, but...
I did a little research!
Fun fact: Foreman rushed for 100 yards three times last season while filling in for an injured Henry, had at least 19 carries in four games and added three touchdowns.
Yes, I know it was on a much better Titans team, but I feel pretty good about carrying Foreman if the Panthers somehow get to the goal line once in the game — a big ask, I know.
And hey, Matty Berry said to do it too. So there it is.
