Former Vikings co-defensive coordinator Adam Zimmer dies at 38

Previous Minnesota Vikings co-protective facilitator Adam Zimmer has passed on at 38 years old, his sister Corri reported Tuesday.

Zimmer, the child of previous Vikings lead trainer Mike Zimmer, was a specialist for the Cincinnati Bengals this season and had recently been a NFL colleague from 2006 through 2022.

"Our association has had the honor of knowing and working with the Zimmer family for a long time," Bengals proprietor Mike Brown said in an explanation Tuesday. "We have the most elevated respect for Mike and Adam, and we are inconceivably disheartened by this heartbreaking news. Mike and Adam were something other than mentors for us - - they were companions. Our contemplations and petitions to heaven are with the Zimmer family right now."

Adam started his NFL training vocation with the New Orleans Holy people as an associate linebackers mentor from 2006-2009, and was a piece of the club's Super Bowl-winning staff in his last year.

"The contemplations and supplications of the New Orleans Holy people association go out to the whole Zimmer family, including Adam's dad, Mike and his two sisters, Corri and Marki, following the death of Adam Zimmer," the New Orleans Holy people said in an explanation. "We had affectionate recollections of Adam from the four years that he spent in our association as an associate mentor from 2006-09, including filling in as an individual from our Super Bowl Title training staff. Adam was proficient, dedicated, popular with everybody he came into contact with and energetic. During his experience with the Holy people, he immediately formed into a magnificent mentor. His endeavors as an individual from the training staff, first as a protective partner and afterward as colleague linebackers mentor in 2009, were vital to this football crew, as it developed rapidly to arrive at a title level."

Zimmer later trained for the Kansas City Bosses and Cincinnati Bengals after his time in New Orleans.

From 2014 through 2022, Zimmer was important for his dad's training staff on the Vikings - - first as a linebackers mentor from 2014-2019 and afterward as co-guarded organizer from 2020-2022.

"We are sorrowful to catch wind of the death of Adam Zimmer," Vikings proprietorship said in a proclamation Tuesday. "Adam was a sort, conscious man, and over his years in Minnesota, it was clear he thought often immensely about his family, his players, his kindred mentors and the Vikings front office staff. Our considerations are with Mike, Corri, Marki and the whole Zimmer family."
